The rmtPRO Body Wrap Massage course will teach you how to assess and utilize the need for these mediums while you apply therapeutic massage technique to gain effective lymphatic flow,  treatment and prevention of physical dysfunction, and pain of the soft tissues and joints. Feel confident in your knowledge of the anatomy and flow  of the body's lymphatic system, connective tissue, and of course, the body's biggest organ, the skin! Apply your RMT logic and critical thinking skills to gain the understanding of how rmtPRO Body Wrap Massage techniques affect the body as a whole, from the most outer layer of tissue, to the deepest internal viscera.  Learn how to adapt any RMT room for body wrap massage techniques, and the business of incorporating rmtPRO Body Wrap Massage into your current practice.

Visceral Manipulation: Abdomen 1 Organ Specific Fascial Mobilization (VM1)

Vancouver, BC

Barralinstitute.com

Course: Visceral Manipulation: Abdomen 1; Organ Specific Fascial Mobilization (VM1)
Assessment of Structural Relationships between Viscera, and their Fascial or Ligamentous Attachments to the Musculoskeletal System

Date/Location: October 24-27, 2024 • Vancouver, BC
Teacher: AnnabelMackenzie, RST, BI-D

Normal Price: $890.40 (USD)
Early Registration Price: $666.72 (USD)
For registering 30 days in advance, you save $224 (USD)

Con-ed credits: 24 primary

Description: VM assists functional and structural imbalances throughout the body including musculoskeletal, vascular, nervous, urogenital, respiratory, digestive and lymphatic dysfunction. It evaluates and treats the dynamics of motion and suspension in relation to organs, membranes, fascia and ligaments. VM increases proprioceptive communication within the body, thereby revitalizing a person and relieving symptoms of pain, dysfunction, and poor posture.

An integrative approach to evaluation and treatment of a patient requires assessment of the structural relationships between the viscera, and their fascial or ligamentous attachments to the musculoskeletal system. Strains in the connective tissue of the viscera can result from surgical scars, adhesions, illness, posture or injury. Tension patterns form through the fascial network deep within the body, creating a cascade of effects far from their sources for which the body will have to compensate. This creates fixed, abnormal points of tension that the body must move around, and this chronic irritation gives way to functional and structural problems.

Best Practices for Treatment and Management of Osteoarthritis - webinar

Online

Best Practices for Treatment and Management of Osteoarthritis

1.5 primary credits - MTAS members

Join me on Oct 28th for a 90-minute webinar, Best Practices for Treatment and Management of Osteoarthritis where I will provide you with the most current knowledge and practical skills to best help those who live with pain and lack of function due to osteoarthritis (OA).

For many years it was thought that OA was purely a problem with the joint. Newer research is suggesting that it is much more complicated than that. OA symptoms are now thought to be a problem resulting from systemic inflammatory processes.

In this webinar I will cover the relevant science and then guide you through the fundamental knowledge and best practices that RMTs can follow to optimize pain management strategies and treatment planning.

You will learn:
- current science on OA pain and how this leads to loss of function
- how to simplify your treatment approach
- communication skills that will make talking with your patients about their OA pain easier
- person centred treatment planning for optimum pain management and improved function

This webinar will be presented live via Zoom at 6pm PST on October 28th.  (7pm Sask time)

If you are in BC, this can be used for one of your PDP learning goals. It meets the standards for the required core competencies, Treatment, Knowledge Growth and Patient Care

If you cannot attend live, do not worry, everyone who registers will receive a link to watch the recording within 72 hours.
